In the name of God almighty I William Gichard Senr of the parish of St Austell in the county of Cornwall Husbandman, being weak in the body but sound and perfect memory thanks be given to god for it
Therefore I do make and ordain this my last will and testament in
manner and form following that is to say
First of all I give and bequeath my soule unto the hands of Almighty
God that I give it and my body to decent Christian Burial as my executors herein after names shall fit
Item I give unto my son William Gichard the younger and Joan his wife
and Ann their daughter one shilling each
Item I give unto John Hodge and Ann his wife and John their son one
shilling each
Item I give unto John Daddow and Mary his wife and their daughter one
shilling each
Item I give unto William Martin and the son Nicholas Martin one
shilling each
Impr? all the rest of my goods chattels any credits I give and bequeath unto Amy Gichard my beloved wife
And doe hereby nominate and appoint her the above mentioned Amy Gichard my whole and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament
She paying my debts and legacies and furirall? expenses hereby revoking all former and other wills and testaments by me at any time heartofore made and I do now ordain and ratify these presents to stand and be for and as my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of Mary Ann Domine 1741
