On Tuesday last another of the band of pioneers passed away in the person of James Cain, who had been in indifferent health for some time. He was a son of the late John Cain, of Springbank Farm, who was among the first South Canterbury settlers. He was twice married, and a widow and eleven children are left to mourn their loss
