Mr and Mrs J. Cameron
The golden wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs J. Cameron, of Penryn Road, Mt Eden, was celebrated recently. They were married by the Rev. Millar Thompson 50 years ago at Kowai Bush. Mr Cameron was born in Dunedin and Mrs Cameron at Arundel, South Canterbury.
Mr Cameron was employed by the Works Department. Some of the major projects he has served on in an official capacity are the Otira tunnel, Tawa Flat tunnel, Moerowa Block, Napier, and latterly the Mangakino and Karapiro hydro works.
Mr and Mrs Cameron have three children. There are seven grandchildren. On their retirement they made there home with their daughter and son in law, Mr and Mr S. Ashby, of Mt Eden.

Cameron, James (Regt. No. 5606, N.Z. Contingent, Boer War). On January 21, 1957 (suddenly), at his daughter's residence, 1 Jellicoe Avenue, Mt Roskill, beloved husband of the late May Cameron (formerly of 6 Penrhyn Road, Mt Eden), and loved father of Elizabeth (Mrs S. Ashby), Jim (Papakura) and Ron (Napier): in his 77th year. A Service will be held at W. H. Tongue and Son's chapel tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3.15 p.m., funeral then leaving for Purewa Lawn Cemetery.
