Dearly loved wife of the late Stan, mother and mother in law of Peter & Meryl (Wellington), Trevor and Pat (Tuakau), Carol & Bob Friery (Queensland), Gay (deceased), Joy and Doug Machray (Queensland), Regg & Robyn (Taupo), grandmother of Grahame & Neal?, David, Matthew & Glenden Friery, Christina, Suzanne, Amelia & Roddy Machray and Sandra (deceased) and great grandmother of 8. Friends are invited to attend Grace's funeral service at the Founders Chapel of Remembrance, Rickit Street, Taupo tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2.00pm to be followed by private cremation. The death took place on Thursday evening of Mr W. Solomon, an old and highly esteemed resident of Westport. He was 86 years of age and had lived in New Zealand for 56 years. His native place was Penzance, Cornwall. He was in the railway service, retiring a good many years ago on superannuation. Deceased is survived by three sons and two daughters

The Greymouth Evening Star 10th January 1907 shows
A very old resident named Mrs Solomon died as Westport on Monday evening last. She came to the Coast many years ago and was identified with its early experiences. She was familiarly and well known for her kindly disposition and genial nature. Her illness was of a prolonged nature. She leaves a husband and grown up family to mourn her loss. The funeral takes place at Westport today
