Walsh. - On January 4, 1880, at his residence, New Grove, Kirikiroa Road, Michael Walsh, aged 49 years, eldest son of the late Mr Matthew Walsh, co. Kilkenny, Ireland. May he rest in peace

Waikato Times 21st April 1883 shows
For Sale. The FARM recently in the possession of Michael Walsh, containing 150 acres, and being lots 35, 36, and 41, Parish of Kirikiriroa, Banks County. This farm has a dwelling on it, and is partly improved. It is situated on the east bank of the Waikato River, and about half way between Hamilton and Ngaruawahia. Price, £2 12s 6d (two pounds twelve shillings and sixpence) per acre. Terms - Ten per cent, cash, balance on mortgage at 7 per cent.
Also, 426 ACRES, situated at Paparamu in the centre of the OKOROIRI BLOCK. First-class land, and adjoining the recent purchase of the Stud Company, Will be about three miles from proposed railway station at Oxford. Price, three pounds per acre (£3).
